José Carreras, my favorite tenor, and Leonard Bernstein, one of my favorite conductors, working on the recording of Bernstein's "West Side Story," (released by DG) in which Kiri Te Kanawa starred along with Mr. Carreras. circa 1984-85. Who knew he was Tony and Madame Kanawa was Maria?
聽著José Carreras唱"O sole mio"，很高興自己有機會擺脫了Pavarotti從多年來三大男高音演唱會累積下來的「標準版」，還有多年前Bryan Adams為Pavarotti & Friends慈善演唱會扯著喉嚨雞貓子喊叫的版本，雖然我還蠻喜歡的。從"José Carreras: The Golden Years"的第一首浦契尼名曲《妳那好冷的小手Che gelida manina》(朋友曾笑稱應作《妳那好冷的雞爪》)，就讓我深為傾心。雖然我聽得還不夠多(這點老媽可能會反對...)，但我知道這會是我最喜歡的魯道夫之一。趕著永無止盡譯稿的星期天，我忍不住被這溫柔抒情的聲音吸引，而從古夫金字塔裡爬出來，一陣乾坤大挪移，彷彿置身米蘭的史卡拉歌劇院，聽這聲音的主人為我一人彩排。

今年只剩幾天，現在才想要去國家音樂廳聽跨年歌劇大概是來不及了喔？本來朋友還想在我生日時搞一個附庸風雅的「歌劇之夜」，但那天沒演什麼想看的節目，可惜可惜。說到這個就想到新年音樂會，今年又是慕提在維也納掌廚囉！蠻期待他會搞什麼東東，他應該是歷年來指揮最多次的了吧？(純憑記憶亂猜，沒查資料，敬請指正)

Oscar season again. Not that they always honor good movies or fascinating movie people, but it's often a time to catch films that are more interesting than the others. Believe it or not, I keep a to-see list (yes, the ink-on-paper kind) all the time; whether I get to watch them all or not is another story though.
(Excuse me, I have to stop a moment to say something irrelevant, "Rufus, Greek Song is so fooking beautiful. Thank you for saving me again.")
So here comes my little list, in no particular order. (Recommendations, comments, advice and knowing winks are broadly welcome.)
本來平安夜應該要玩的大富翁，最後卻沒得玩。
好久以來沒有的茫然與恐懼，竟然也在這個沒得玩的平安夜裡來襲。我想是該做點改變了。如果2003之前的我是莽撞的小牛、敏感的倉鼠，那麼這一年來的我大概是疲倦易怒的驢子。馱著馱著會忘記要去哪裡的驢子。突然發現自己晃到不熟悉城鎮而大聲鳴號的驢子。

我知道標題是聳動了點，但是很難說它不是吧？至少也是top 10吧？
看完第一遍到現在已經20個小時，我還是沒辦法組織我的思緒，非常非常感動。所以請原諒，暫時是沒有影評可寫的。其實我也不需要寫，因為你們看了電影就知道。
I know the title is a bit of an exaggeration, but it'd be hard to say it's not, wouldn't it? At least easily in the top 10?
20 hours after my first viewing, I still can't quite organize my thoughts about the film, because I'm too emotionally connected to it. Sounds silly, but it makes sense to me. (And I believe, some of you too) So please bear with this lack of review here. Actually there's no need for me to write it anyway, you'll see for yourself.

The catchy and cryptic song got stuck in my head and refuses to get out of there. I'm afraid that this is going to be quite a while before we part different ways. Though knowing too well that it's way too late to write a review on "Pig Lib," which was released in March, I have to give it some honorable mention here. It's that cool. Mr. Malkmus is still, hands down, one of the top music makers.
