The Greatest Film(s) Ever Made

I know the title is a bit of an exaggeration, but it'd be hard to say it's not, wouldn't it? At least easily in the top 10? 20 hours after my first viewing, I still can't quite organize my thoughts about the film, because I'm too emotionally connected to it. Sounds silly, but it makes sense to me. (And I believe, some of you too) So please bear with this lack of review here. Actually there's no need for me to write it anyway, you'll see for yourself. Hail to the birth of the classic of our generation.

Hi Natasha

This is Annie's husband.
I saw your post as I click around surfing the net ...Here's an interesting article from NY Times today to share with you and all the "Ring" fans (including myself). The article is a little ... offensive to some. Personally no comment on this topic, though.

Another angle, perhaps? Fun to read.

BTW according to the newest NYT/CBS poll, major opnions in America has opposed Leagal Gay Marriage (47% to 53%) ... a sad thing.

CLOCKED my first yawn at 50 minutes, lulled by too many pale-blue mountains, computerized tricks and a plot so intricate all I knew for sure was that Gandalf had called for help. And did I care if help arrived? I did not. The final entry in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy reveals once more that what the chick flick is to men, this trilogy is to women — or at least to a large secret society of us for whom the series is no more than a geek-fest, a technologically impressive but soulless endurance contest. That holds even for the newest, least nerdy installment, "The Return of the King" (or as those of us with our priorities straight like to think of it, "The Return of Viggo," our one consolation)...

First thought: what the heck is her problem? And we did get an eyeful of Aragorn, didn't we? (Or she went to the wrong movie? poor thing)

Second thought: I'm a woman and I'm NOT bored of them AT ALL.^^ Ms. James, too bad you have to think in your own customized box but not OUTSIDE the box.

And to Chi, you must be a very good husband, because you know when not to comment.^^ (thumbs up to Annie)

Excuse my talkativeness. Just one more thing:

53% of the people are against legal gay marriage? *covers eyes* Then why can philanders tie the knot? When some think they're breaking the vows eventually anyway?! This is just wrong.

This world's gone mad, hasn't it? It was wrong, like the title of that Bob Dylan album, but now it's wrong AND mad.

Interesting!!!

I would be Gandalf, in this testing... :P

Eowyn!!!

Hmm. That explains a lot.:P

Vielleicht.
Was für eine schlechte Antwort ist!
Ha!

We have the exact same thoughts! Hours, even days, after watching the movie, I can't believe that our generation could produce such a great movie! I'm just so ecstatic to see this post! ;D
